Mark Henry, who has served as manager of ONA’s advertising subsidiary since January of 1993, has announced his resignation as of Dec. 31. Henry, whose last day in the office will be Dec. 22, says he would like to pursue other career opportunities.
“Mark has done a great job for us all these years and he will be missed, but we truly understand and appreciate his desire to move on at this stage in his career,” said ONA executive director Frank Deaner, in reaction to the resignation.
Indicating that the position will remain unfilled for the early part of 2010, Deaner also stated, “I’m pleased that Walt Dozier will serve as acting manager of AdOhio as we make some adjustments to our internal staff responsibilities while providing continuity to our newspaper members and our advertising clients.” Dozier will assume his new duties on Dec. 21.
Prior to joining Ohio Newspaper Services, which was given the AdOhio brand two years ago, Henry had served in executive positions with the Mount Vernon News, Urbana Daily Citizen and Eaton Register Herald. He is a graduate of Ohio University.
Dozier joined ONS as account executive in October of 1999. His previous experience includes selling for the advertising subsidiary of the Michigan Press Association. Dozier graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in advertising.
“Mark and Walt are working on a smooth transition and we will follow up with additional details of the realignment to our members and clients as of the first of the year,” Deaner noted.
