A Kenton Circuit Court judge has dismissed, with prejudice, a lawsuit against the Cincinnati Enquirer and two of its reporters filed by attorney Eric Deters on behalf of Sarah Jones.
The suit alleged false information was published about the former Dixie Heights High School teacher and Cincinnati Ben-Gal cheerleader.
“The information as published was substantially true and cannot support a claim for defamation,” Judge Patricia Summe stated in the decision Monday.
The suit alleged that an Aug. 22 article written by reporter Jim Hannah stated, “Investigators say Jones, 27, had sex with a 17-year-old student four or five times between Oct. 1 and Dec. 31.”
