As part of the 2013 ONA Annual Convention, a silent auction was held to raise money for the Ohio Newspapers Foundation.  ONA member newspapers donated a number of items including signed sports memorabilia, editorial cartoons, film festival tickets, vacation getaways, and much more.

The auction raised over $3,700, which will benefit Foundation activities including training, scholarships, internships and Newspapers in Education projects. Thanks to all of the newspapers which donated items and to all the convention attendees who took part in the auction.

The Ohio Newspapers Foundation is a non-profit organization operated for charitable, scientific, literary and educational purposes with a view to achieving the highest standards of excellence and professionalism in all phases of journalism and newspaper publishing. The Foundation awards a number of scholarships each year for journalism students, along with funding efforts like the Ohio Newspapers In Education program.

Even if you have never used an auction sniper you should consider doing so. Sure, this is a new way of doing things but it is a method that will benefit you in many ways. What do you have to lose? Give an auction sniper program a try. Soon enough you will realize that this is the only way to deal with those pesky online auctions! ^
