The Dow Jones News Fund is seeking partnerships with news organizations interested in hiring 2014 editing interns. College internship programs have been a tradition of DJNF for more than 50 years.
Each prospective editing intern attends an eight-day pre-internship training program at one of four DJNF-sponsored centers for editing excellence: Temple University, the University of Missouri, University of Texas at Austin or Pennsylvania State University.
Participating news organizations make a $1,200 donation to DJNF to help cover pre-internship training costs. They also agree to pay each intern no less than $350 weekly for at least 10 weeks. All other training program expenses, including travel to the residency and on to a partner news organization, are covered by DJNF.
Contact DJNF Executive Director Richard Holden at 609-452-2820 or at Richard.Holden@dowjones.com if interested in partnering for 2014.
