Enquirer Sports earned an important recognition Friday being named one of the top 10 newspaper sports websites for 2013 in voting conducted by the Associated Press Sports Editors.

The Enquirer was selected along with other prestigious news organizations like USA Today, Washington Post and The New York Times in the 2 million and over unique visitors group. The sports editors group released its award winners on their website Friday evening.

“This speaks to all the hard work put in by our digital editors and reporters over the last year,” said Sports Editor Angel Rodriguez. “As Enquirer Sports continues to transform itself into an organization that delivers content across multiple platforms, awards like this mean a lot. Plus, it’s always nice to be mentioned in the same group as papers like USA Today and The New York Times.”

In April of this year the Enquirer Sports website underwent a major site redesign that put a bigger emphasis on highlighting the work of our beat writers and columnists, while also showcasing the impressive work of our photojournalists.
