Paul Reynolds, who has served as interim general manager of The Times-Reporter for the past two months, was named general manager Tuesday.
“Paul has demonstrated a great deal of commitment and dedication to The Times-Reporter as the interim general manager as well as the previous positions he has held at the newspaper spanning the past 10 years,” GateHouse Ohio Media Publisher Jim Porter said in making the announcement.
“GateHouse Ohio is very committed to putting out the best products possible in all communities we serve, Paul has demonstrated the same type of commitment to the Dover, New Philadelphia area,” Porter said. “A resident of Tuscarawas County for the past 25 years with his wife, Starr, and two children, he brings a great deal of energy, ideas, and leadership to the role of general manager of The Times-Reporter.”
Reynolds, 46, began his newspaper career at The T-R in 2004 as a local advertising sales representative. He spent six years in that position, helping local merchants grow their businesses, Porter said. Reynolds was named digital manager of GateHouse Ohio, and in 2012, was promoted to the position of director of Digital Media Sales and Development, headquartered at The Repository in Canton.
“Growing up with The Times-Reporter and raising my family in the Tuscarawas Valley I am proud to be part of this 142 year-old community institution,” Reynolds said. “I am excited to work with local businesses, organizations and community members to be stewards of local news, growth and development.
“The Tuscarawas Valley and its residents are very proud of our many communities and I am honored to continue my contribution to these communities as general manager of The Times-Reporter.
