The Tribune Chronicle, a 25,000-circulation daily in Warren, OH, is seeking a metro editor with the talent, energy and enthusiasm to direct our reporter staff in a newsy and highly competitive market. We are seeking qualified candidates that can drive our staff of eight reporters, with the help of an assistant metro editor, all of whom won many Associated Press awards in recent years. The job requires sharp decision-making skills, recognition of what works on digital platforms and an adrenaline rush for late-breaking news. Strong line editing skills and news judgment are a must. Strong communication, collaboration and organizational skills are essential. The metro editor will work closely with the editor to strive for content excellence while meeting deadline expectations. The best candidates will have previous management, editing and reporter experience.
