Dix Communications is recruiting a Niche Product Manager to lead efforts to grow our niche print and digital publications. Our strategy is to provide relevant, engaging content across each of our print and digital platforms in the communities we serve and new markets.
Niche Product Manager will provide leadership to their team, planning and monitoring, coaching and counseling while fostering a spirit of teamwork and unity among department members; directing project timeliness and budgets; maintain quality service and high customer standards while identifying trends and recommending system improvements.
Responsibilities include all aspects of preparation of the various magazines with each individual deadline necessitating timeliness and attention to detail as well as the ability to work within budget constraints. Candidate must possess excellent management, motivational and organizational skills; written, editorial, and publishing skills; and interpersonal skills with both team members and customers.
A minimum of three years of project management experience focused in writing, production, editing and publishing experience is preferred. A college degree or equivalent management experience is helpful. This position requires travel to meet with key partners, customers, and news and sales teams. An acceptable driving record and current driver's license are required. The position is based out of our Wooster, Ohio location, The Daily Record.
