W.Va. daily seeks metro editor

The Herald-Dispatch

The Herald-Dispatch, a locally owned daily newspaper in Huntington, W.Va., a city of about 50,000, is seeking a strong leader to guide the organization’s local news coverage. The position requires strong editing skills, both on the front end of reporting and after a story is turned in, an aggressive attitude toward hard news and enterprise, and the ability to work collaboratively with reporters and other editors to provide the best local news report possible. A bachelor’s degree in journalism or commensurate experience is required, and candidates should have a minimum of seven years of journalism experience, including at least two years in a supervisory capacity.
