Ohio Associated Press Media Editors award winners announced

The Ohio Associated Press Media Editors Association Awards were announced at the organization's annual meeting and banquet in Columbus on May 3. According to the AP, the awards "represent the finest work of Ohio reporters, editors, photographers and illustrators for 2014," with 62 daily newspapers submitting 2,395 entries for this year's contest.

The Ohio APME General Excellence newspaper winners were:

Division V: The Columbus Dispatch
Division IV: The (Youngstown) Vindicator
Division III: The (Elyria) Chronicle-Telegram
Division II: The (Newark) Advocate
Division I: Chillicothe Gazette
