Horvitz Seminar For Editorial Excellence
Former ONA president and newspaper owner Harry R. Horvitz (pictured right) made a major contribution to the Foundation in 1989, establishing an annual seminar dedicated to the theme of editorial and journalistic excellence. The event has featured such noted journalists as Pulitzer Prize-winning syndicated columnist Clarence Page, former AP Mideast correspondent Terry Anderson, Dallas Morning News publisher Burl Osborne, and sports commentator Dick Schaap.

The Harry R. Horvitz Seminar for Editorial Excellence is now a part of the Newspaper Staff Training Calendar of ONA and The Ohio Newspapers Foundation.
