- Overview of palettes and tools
- Creating and editing objects with tools
- Customizing graphics through Effects, Filters and Graphic Styles
- Using new Color Guide feature to coordinate designs
- Expanding your art collection with Live Trace and Live Paint
- Creating art from simple shapes with tools and techniques learned in this course

The Instructor
Lisa Tackett Griffin is a popular trainer at Macintosh training events around the United States. She is recognized as a pioneer in the areas of computer pagination and remote printing methods for newspapers. Lisa is a staff member at the University of Tennessee/Tennessee Press Association Institute for Newspaper Technology and has conducted training for press associations and newspapers on topics such as Mac Troubleshooting, Quark Xpress, InDesign, Illustrator, PhotoShop, Pagination, PDF file creation and digital communications. Since 1983, Lisa has provided consultation, training and support to newspapers as well as other markets. Bringing this information through training sessions directly to people in the production process continues to be a priority. Attendees will find her material to be interesting, informative and applicable to their everyday workload.
The Facility
The Central Classroom Building, originally called Central Service Facility, was constructed in 1948. It was originally built as a central stores warehouse. In 1988 a total renovation project and building addition was completed. The new building, an 85,306-square foot facility, houses a bookstore, classrooms and architects’ offices. The building is located across from Ohio Stadium and near ample parking in the Tuttle Park Garage.

To the Tuttle Park Garage once in Columbus
Take Route 315 and exit at Lane Avenue.
Drive east on Lane toward campus.
Turn right on Tuttle Park Place.
Go through the light at Woody Hayes Drive. (Ohio Stadium will be on your right.)
The Tuttle Park Garage will be on your left across from Ohio Stadium.
From Garage to Central Classroom Building
Take the stairs or elevator in the parking garage to the 2nd floor and exit the garage.
Turn right and you will see “Oxley’s by the Numbers Cafe.”
Central Classroom is the building just past Oxley’s on the right.
When you enter Central Classroom, follow the signs to the 3rd floor.
