Welcome, Students. Here you will find information on valuable scholarship and internship opportunities offered by the Ohio Newspapers Foundation as well as many newspapers throughout Ohio.

Internships

The office of The Ohio Newspaper Association offers two paid summer internships, a publications/public relations internship and an advertising internship.

The publications/public relations internship allows a student to work in the Columbus office of this trade association which represents 83 daily newspapers and 179 weekly newspapers in Ohio. Duties include writing and assisting in production of newsletter (ONA Bulletin); miscellaneous fliers and mailings; meeting planning; research.

The advertising internship allows a student to work with AdOhio, an affiliate of ONA which shares the same Columbus office. Duties include writing and layout for sales presentation sheets and client mailings; assistance with newspaper ad bid sheets; newspaper tear sheets; research.

Scholarships

Also available to students through ONA are a number of scholarships for students pursuing or planning to pursue a career in journalism. The scholarships are listed below:
