Convention raffle and auction needs your donations

One of the most fun parts of the annual ONMA convention is our raffle and silent auction. Our goal this year is to raise $5,000 for the Ohio News Media Foundation, which handles our training programs and funds scholarships and internships for some of Ohio’s best and brightest students considering careers in local media.

To succeed, we need your donations.

Here are some ideas for donations:

• Framed prints of your photographers’ best work – particularly iconic Ohio scenes -- or framed, famous front pages
• A package to a popular tourist attraction, golf outing or resort in your market area
• Tickets to major sporting events or cultural attractions
• High-interest tech items such as tablets and flat-screen televisions
• A gift basket related to your community that your local convention and visitors bureau probably would be excited to assemble and donate
• Gift baskets of wine, coffee or food
• Signed books
• Money – and let us purchase an item for the event
