Sunshine Week, which each year promotes the ideals of open government, will take place from March 11 to 17, 2018. Sunshine Week is sponsored by the American Society of News Editors and the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press.
The ONMA urges our member papers to run open government articles and editorials during Sunshine Week. In addition, we urge our members to share with the public the webinar “We're Living in the Matrix,” which focuses on open government issues. The webinar also is a great refresher for reporters and editors, or an excellent introduction to Ohio laws for new hires.
The webinar was hosted last year by the Ohio chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union and the Ohio Coalition for Open Government.
