ONMA’s Ann Riggs announces her retirement

By Ann Riggs

Ann RiggsIt's time to express my appreciation for the great friendships made through the ONMA over the past years. As some of you may know, I am retiring at the end of September and will be leaving my desk for the last time as Dennis Hetzel’s assistant and receptionist.

Leaving will not be entirely easy. I have genuinely enjoyed working with our great staff and ONMA members.  I will always be grateful for the time I got to spend with you here at our ONMA Columbus office and at our annual convention.

Coordinating our annual scholarship program was one of my favorite annual projects as I met and worked with many highly talented student candidates and many of our ONMA members who generously gave of their time to select our scholarship winners.

I truly believe the newspaper industry is vitally important and has enriched my life since I was a young girl in school involved in the Newspaper in Education Program.

As I say goodbye, I have wonderful memories to take with me.  May you all enjoy wonderful success in the years to come.
