Times-Gazette celebrates 200th anniversary
On June 18 the the Times-Gazette in Hillsboro celebrated the paper's 200th anniversary. The paper was founded on June 18, 1818 by Moses Carothers as the Hillsborough Gazette and Highland County Advertiser.
To celebrate the anniversary the Times-Gazette hosted an open house this past Monday attended by more than 150 guests, including former and current publishers, editors, reporters, carriers, subscribers, advertisers, and others.
