Fall training schedule nearly complete
ONA’s fall training schedule will begin with the Sept. 10 session on “Advanced Advertising Sales,” continue with seven sessions on the hottest topics in the newspaper business along with a bonus webinar on “Using Video to Grow Online Revenue.”
Recently confirmed is a Sept. 17 training event titled “New Strategies in Customer Service,” scheduled for the Ohio University Pickerington Center in suburban Columbus. Instructing the session will be Bob Davis, president of Robert C. Davis & Associates, one of the country’s leading experts in call centers and related customer service activities.
Davis has been a consultant for Cox Enterprises, Freedom Communications, USA TODAY and the Dallas Morning News, among others. His Sept. 17 session will include “the quality conversation and robust call flow,” as well as saving subscribers who want to cancel, and selling EZ pay. Davis will also cover strategies for getting all departments of the newspaper involved in customer service.

In addition, plans are being completed for an October webinar on how to increase revenue with online video, led by consultants from Borrell Associates.
