Sept. 24 training session to focus on ‘Innovative Design’
Registration is now open for three ONA fall training sessions with the announcement of details for a Sept. 24 session on “
Innovative Newspaper Design.” Set for the Ohio University Pickerington Center, in suburban Columbus, the session will be led by Kevin Dilley, a design consultant with Creative Circle Media.
Dilley, who is based in Austin, TX, is a 19-year newspaper veteran who has been involved in design projects with newspapers throughout the country. His ONA session, however, will not focus on a complete redesign, but rather cutting-edge techniques that can be used on a daily basis to upgrade the look and readability of the print product. He’ll also address some graphic aspects of newspaper Web sites.
Dilley received his Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri at Columbia and has a Master of Arts degree in Visual Communication from Ohio University.
Register for this and two other fall sessions — Advanced Ad Sales on Sept. 10 and New Strategies in Customer Service on Sept. 17 — by going to www.ohionews.org.
