Seeking Executive Director
The West Virginia Press Association, based in Charleston, WV, an organization of over 85 newspapers is seeking an Executive Director effective May 1, 2012. The candidate must have significant knowledge of all facets of the newspaper industry as well as an understanding of the issues that play a significant role in the daily operations of our member newspapers.
In addition to the daily duties of running the press association the executive director will also be responsible for marketing our member newspapers to businesses throughout the Mid Atlantic and Southern states. Other duties include but are not limited to, coordination of government affairs, the planning of our annual convention and the creation of a monthly online training programs focusing on advertising, circulation and editorial issues as well as topics on production and human resources.
